Fabulous Lives: [Drag] in Color

Rochester Drag has a rich cultural history, a drag queen is not just a man who wears women ’s clothes; a drag queen is an entirely separate entity. When so impeccably dressed and flawlessly painted, the person underneath the queen disappears almost completely. Fabulous Lives will capture the history of Drag in Rochester, past, present, and future. We will honor those queens that have left us as well as highlighting the life of Naiomy Kane, owner of Muther’s bar and drag mother to many of Rochester’s queens. Come enjoy the exhibit of gowns and tiaras, hear stories of local drag queens. See clips of performances from Naiomy and explore the delicious art of drag.
